How to Care for Your Print On Demand (POD) Apparel

- Don’t Dry Clean: POD apparel isn’t made for dry cleaning—it can damage the print.

Garment-dyed Products
Always wash separately before wearing to avoid bleeding issues
Because of the garment-dye process used for pigment-dyed colours, some loose pigment may remain on the surface even after the first wash. To help prevent colour transfer, wash with like colours only and use cold water. Natural shade variations are part of the dyeing process and give each piece its unique, lived-in look. Garments are pre-shrunk during dyeing and washing, so shrinkage at home is minimal. Pigment-dyed colours offer a long-lasting vintage appearance, while reactive-dyed colours provide a more traditional look with the same soft feel.
DTG (Direct-to-Garment) vs. DTF (Direct-to-Film), what on earth do these terms mean?
DTG (Direct-to-Garment):
Prints ink directly onto the fabric, like a high-tech inkjet printer.
Best for cotton and natural fibers.
Feels soft to the touch since the ink soaks into the fabric.
Ideal for detailed, colorful designs on light or dark fabrics.
DTF (Direct-to-Film):
Prints the design on a special film, which is then heat-pressed onto the fabric.
Works on a variety of materials, including polyester and blends.
Creates a vibrant print that sits on top of the fabric.
Perfect for bold designs and fabrics that don’t work well with DTG.

Sublimation Printing:
Sublimation printing is a method where special ink is heated until it turns into a gas and then bonds with fabric or coated materials. This process creates vibrant, long-lasting designs that won’t crack, peel, or fade over time. It works best on light-coloured, polyester fabrics or specially coated surfaces like mugs and phone cases. Since the ink becomes part of the material, the print feels smooth and won’t wash out!
How to choose the best fabric for you!
DTG Printing and Fabric Compatibility
- 100% Cotton: Best choice for DTG. Vibrant, soft, and absorbs ink perfectly.
- Cotton-Polyester Blends: Good for DTG if cotton content is high. Lower vibrancy compared to 100% cotton.
- Tri-Blends (Cotton/Polyester/Rayon): Usable but results may be less vibrant due to synthetic fibers.
- 100% Polyester: Not ideal for DTG; requires special treatment and results can vary. Great for All Over Print (AOP) as this allows manufacturers to print the fabric and then sew the item.
For the best print quality for t-shirts, we recommend 100% cotton or high-cotton blends.
Size Chart & Measurements
We want you to find the perfect fit! Where available, size charts will be provided either in the product description or within the product images. We recommend measuring carefully to ensure your item fits just right.
A lot of Print on Demand companies will measure the garment while it is laying flat. Please find one of yours that you like the fit of and measure it flat to get a better idea of what size you should order based on the chart provided.
NOTE: As some of our products are made & printed in China (this will be marked under the shipping information for the product), the size you'd normally take may fit too snugly. The number you're used to ordering from a North American company may not be the size you will need to order for clothing from China. Please use the charts provided and remember:
- If you want your garment to fit snugly, order your regular size.
- If you want it a bit looser, order a size up.

All of our products are made to order, and production times vary depending on the product and supplier.
Typically, production can take around 7–10 business days (unless otherwise stated). While we work hard to keep things moving efficiently, there may be slight delays during busy seasons or national/international holidays.
Once your item has completed production and is ready for shipment, we’ll send you an email with tracking details which will allow you to see your product head your way.
- Shipping from the USA to Canada (and vice versa), while close geographically, can sometimes take longer due to customs and carrier delays.
