Some of our items are made in Canada, China, or other international locations. Because of recent U.S. trade policy changes, your country may charge you extra fees (called tariffs) at the border—even when you shop online.

Here’s what we’ve found after hours of trying to get clear answers from official U.S. government sources:

What You Should Know:

• The U.S. has ended it's de minimis limit of $800 USD. This means if your total order is under $800 you are no longer eligible to bring items into the country tax or duty free (see "Postal Shipments" for a mention of tariffs that they will apply).

• If your item is over $800, or flagged by U.S. Customs, it may be hit with a 25% tariff (or more)—even if we offer free shipping.

• The U.S. government decides these charges, and they are paid directly by you to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) if your parcel is flagged.

Due to current U.S. tariff rules, your order may be subject to additional charges. These are determined by U.S. Customs and are completely out of our control.

In general, it's your responsibility to know the rules and regulations of your country before you purchase online.  This page has information for you about bringing packages into your country (Importing) but does not cover the tariffs you will be responsible for paying.

We wanted to link directly to an official U.S. government page explaining this in plain English for our online shoppers... but nothing exists. The information is either buried, blocked, or missing entirely—even ChatGPT and Google search results are restricted or looping us in circles.

Products shipped from CHINA should be marked as such. It has been recorded that some of these types of shipments are not currently making it to the USA. It is in your best interest to know and understand the current shipping situation for your country.

Where before, when you had items ordered online from the USA, you may not have had to pay duty and taxes as your package came across the border... this has changed.

Please take the time to read this and to know the rules/laws that are your responsibility as the importer of such goods. (At the time of this posting, there is a 25% tariff/tax on items brought into Canada from the USA.)
